“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9, NLT
“Just do it” is Nike’s slogan coined by Advertising Executive, - Dan Wieden.
“Whatever He tells you to do, do it.” - Mary, mother of Jesus.
John 2:5 records this simple yet profound statement. One where faith meets obedience in action. Jesus performs His first miracle at the wedding feast even though He told His mother that his time hadn’t yet arrived. (verse 4).
There have been moments in my faith journey where I felt God’s Spirit encouraging me to do one thing or the other. This ministry of Kingdom Inspired Messages being one of them. When God plants a dream in our heart, when we find the things we are passionate about, these are not random. These are ways in which God plants the seed and draws us to him.
This year, my word is creation. As I walked through a beautiful garden, I observed the vibrant and vivid colours of the flowers. I was reminded that God created us with and for a unique purpose. Not only has He created a plan for us, but He also equips us with everything we need to accomplish the task at hand. We only need to just do it.
Why do we do it? Because “Someone somewhere is depending on you to do what God has called you to do.” I don’t know the word God has given to You this year or the path he has mapped out, I would encourage you to put faith to action and just do it.
“No, he has told you what he wants, and this is all it is: to be fair, just, merciful, and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8, TLB
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the reminder that You have created us for Your glory. Help me to let go of fear and my unworthiness and tap into Your unfailing love and grace. Help me not to get tired of doing what’s good, but to await the blessing that is sure once I don’t give up. Help me to just do it, moving past fear and obstacles, pressing towards the mark found in Jesus. In His name I pray and with thanksgiving. Amen.
“You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” - Martin Luther King Jr.
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift
from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:8-10, NLT
“Thinking will not overcome fear, but action will.” - W. Clement Stone
“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” - Nelson Mandela
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26, NIV
Action requires action.
Be blessed to be a blessing.
