God Is

“All schemes from the devil’s devices, or from man’s manipulations to inflict harm will fail. God is in charge. It is He who forgives and restores. He is the ruler of my destiny.” Isaiah 54:17 (Personalized)

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:26

Destiny - the events that will necessarily happen to a particular person or thing in the future. The hidden power believed to control what will happen in the future. A lot of us go through life wondering if we are fully aligned to our purpose. Most people seem to have it all figured out, but still life can throw some curveballs creating elements of doubt. 

Back in 2022 I got an impression of my future self and in that moment I felt revived in spirit. A huge smile flashed across my face. Fast forward to 2026 and indeed when I look back at how God has brought me through, I am humbled and amazed.

“Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by His power that works within us.” Ephesians 3:20 CEB

Prayers have been answered. Time has revealed the outcome of some of the paths taken. I’ve seen where God’s redirection was a blessing. Like David in Psalm 18: 1-3 NIV, I can say:

“I love You, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.”

“Christ is all, and in all.” Colossians 3:11

Dear Heavenly Father, 

Thank You for being my all in all. Help me to remember when challenges arise that You are in control. Thank You for the daily reminders of Your goodness, mercy and faithfulness. You are everything I need. With You as my Shepherd, I lack nothing. In Jesus Name, Amen.

God is my rock, my refuge, my comforter, my all in all.
