Bless Me, Indeed!
“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 6:8NIV
According to Ai Overview, the prayer of Jabez found in 1 Chronicles 4:9,10 offers a concise yet powerful blueprint for seeking God’s favor, overcoming personal limitations, and living a life of honorable faith.
It is a prayer that I have kept close to my heart since I first read it and made it my own. As I start to reflect on another year around the sun, I am indeed grateful and blessed. I often say my blessings don’t come in the same way people may look for, but daily I see God's hand.
Jabez asks that God’s hand would be with him and indeed I can say God’s hand has also been with me. I am so thankful that I can be vulnerable with God my Creator. I am grateful that God has the power to rewrite our story and edit our life scripts; much like He did for Jabez.
Could you count all your blessings? I dare you to try!
One element I love about journaling is being able to document God’s goodness. Left to memory alone, we might tend to forget as life progresses but documenting helps for reflection. It is good to document our Ebenezer stones. Over the last few weeks, I have been greeted by butterflies each morning. It really is the simple things for me: the rainbow, clouds, sunsets, music, long drives (without the road rage), laughter, hugs, breathing in clean air, the list goes on and on. My heart is filled with gratitude and thankfulness.
I am thankful that we can ask God for His favor and divine protection and see the answered prayer as a result.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you.” Numbers 6:24-25
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for your numerous blessings! Who can count them all?!? Thank You for seen and unseen, known and unknown, past, present and blessings to come. Blessings after blessings. Blessings overflowing. Blessings in every season and challenges in life. Thank You. In Jesus Name, Amen.
