“If only I could trust past the fear and pain and get a glimpse of what God has in mind. Out of all the painfulness, He says He will cause a good thing, a new thing to be born.” Isaiah 66:9, Personalized
“For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11, TLB
I recently came across a quote that I instantly fell in love with. “The whole difference between construction and creation is exactly this: that a thing constructed can only be loved after it is constructed; but a thing created is loved before it exists.” Charles Dickens According to Ai Overview, the quote suggests that “construction is an act of assembly, where love for the final product comes only after it is finished, while creation is an act of imagination and passion, where the created thing is cherished from its conception, before it is even brought into being.
Dickens uses this distinction to highlight that true creativity is rooted in deep affection and foresight, rather than just assembly.”
As a creative, I appreciated the profound meaning and the message. To love something even before it is fully in being and form; to craft an idea from imagination and watch it come to full bloom; to fall in love with an idea not just the result. It took me back to creation. “For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love.” Ephesians 1:4, NIV
Our Abba Father, did not construct the world; He created it. Genesis 1:1 tells us, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” He tells Jeremiah, “Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you.
Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you: A prophet to the nations-that’s what I had in mind for you. Jeremiah 1:5, MSG. David proclaims in Psalm 139:13, 14 (NIV), “For You created my inmost being You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful; I know that full well.”
Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 2:9-12,TLB: “That is what is meant by the Scriptures which say that no mere man has ever seen, heard, or even imagined what wonderful things God has ready for those who love the Lord.
But we know about these things because God has sent his Spirit to tell us, and his Spirit searches out and shows us all of God’s deepest secrets. No one can really know what anyone else is thinking or what he is really like except that person himself.
And no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. And God has actually given us his Spirit (not the world’s spirit) to tell us about the wonderful free gifts of grace and blessing that God has given us.”
“We must make a study of our God: what he loves, what he hates, how he speaks and acts. We cannot imitate a God whose features and habits we have never learned. We must make a study of him if we want to become like him. We must seek his face.” — Jen Wilkin
“Maybe the desire to make something beautiful is the piece of God that is inside each of us.” Mary Oliver “The Lord will work out His plans for my life – for Your loving-kindness, Lord, continues forever. Don’t abandon me – for You made me.” Psalm 138:8, TLB
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for having a plan, a purpose and a place for me. Help me to rise to action even with only a glimpse of what You have in mind, knowing that I can do all things in Your strength. Not by my might, not by my power or influence but only by Your Spirit. In Jesus name, Amen.
“He died not for men, but for each man. If each man had been the only man made, He would have done no less.” C. S. Lewis
“God creates out of nothing. Wonderful, you say. Yes, to be sure, but He does what is still more wonderful: He makes saints out of sinners.” Soren Kierkegaard
“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” Corrie Ten Boom
“For since the world began no one has seen or heard of such a God as ours, who works for those who wait for Him!” Isaiah 64:4, TLB
“We have to be braver than we think we can be, because God is constantly calling us to be more than we are.” Madeleine L’Engle
Be blessed to be a blessing.
