The Lord who has compassion on me says, “Even if the mountains shake and the hills crumble, My unconditional love for you will remain steadfast.” The agreement that He will keep me peaceful is irrevocable. Isaiah 54:10 (Personalized)
The Power of Un.
‘Un’ - according to dictionary.com, is “a prefix freely used in English to form verbs expressing a reversal of some action or state, or removal, deprivation, release, etc. (unbend; uncork; unfasten, etc.), or to intensify the force of a verb already having such a meaning (unloose)”.
The title of this devotional wasn’t by chance. Over the years, I’ve watched as certain types of people sought to dictate the pace of another’s faith journey or to go as far as to say what it should look like. I’ve watched others give up without fully grasping just how much God loves us, because they were assailed by just following rules upon rules. Even for myself, God brought the revelation to me in Galatians 1:10, which became a catalyst for many of the changes I would then make. Our journey with God, although He calls us to worship collectively, is a personal one. It is this personal connection that unites us to worship Him in ‘spirit and in truth’ and that must be nurtured.
Sometimes, we feel boxed or caged, not only by sin, but also by legalism. God wants to set us free from the crushing weight of both so we can be - free. Jesus sought to set the record straight when He was here on earth. He showed us the difference between the letter of the law and the Spirit of the law.
We are part of God's Unshakeable Kingdom. May we gain confidence in the God we serve and trust and come to know Him for ourselves. May we unlearn the lies and allow Him to undo the chains that bind us, so that we can unleash what it means to be called by Him unburdened and unafraid of the wiles of the enemy.
The power of ‘un’ is without condition. His unconditional love towards us, not willing that any of us should perish.
“We must remember that when God gives us his promise, he is on the line, not we. You see, with God’s promises comes his presence. He leads us into impossible, dead situations so that we will experience his power and presence. Every fulfilled promise and deliverance is a declaration of God’s glory. So when we choose to turn to God in faith and refuse to allow fear and doubt to cause us to cave in, it’s as if God says, “Stand back and watch this.” The result is awe and wonder.” - Crawford W. Loritts Jr.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Your grace is sufficient to undo, untie and unfetter anything that weighs us down and restrains us from seeking after a relationship with You. Help my unbelief and set mine feet upon the high places. Help me to be confident in the work of the Holy Spirit in me to bring me to completion in You where my faith can be unmovable and unshaken. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
“The fact that we can’t see our way clearly doesn’t mean that God cannot make the way clear.” – Crawford W. Loritts Jr.
“I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me.” Psalms 16:8, NLT
Be blessed to be a blessing.
