“Answer my doubts with Your Presence. Make good all my shortcomings. Protect, preserve and prosper me. Send me Your light and Your truth. Let them guide me, let them lead me to Your holy mountain.” Exodus 3:12 (Personalized)
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16 NIV
During the sermon on the mount, Jesus reminds us His followers that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Just as light can do nothing other than shine, so must we. His love envelopes us. It compels us. It constrains us. It moves us forward. It covers us. What I love is that we are light collectively as well as individually. Each with a place and a purpose to pursue our calling.
“The things you are passionate about are not random – they are your calling.” Unknown.
Upon introspection, I see some of the numerous ways God has intricately placed me into positions to pursue my purpose. When I am uncertain, He answers my doubts in ways that make me smile and look up to the sky saying – I know that was You, Lord! We are unique and our calling is intentional as we have been crafted by our Master Designer.
“No two zebras wear the same stripes, no two souls shine the same light, no two hearts beat in the same rhythm – uniqueness is the divine signature inscribed in every being.” - Bhuwan Thapaliya
The light I carry is the love of Jesus Christ, Who, despite my shortcomings is working it out for my good and for His glory. He wants our hearts to burn within us when He ignites His Holy Spirit and quicken our dry bones. “Your cracks don’t disqualify you. They reveal His light.” - Kathryn Kuhlman.
“You have turned on my light! The Lord my God has made my darkness turn to light.” Psalm 18:28 TLB
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for sending the Light of this world. The light He carries is the light we carry, revealing Your love, mercy and grace. Show me ways I can let my light shine for you. Help me not to hide the talents and gifts You have given me for my purpose and calling. Help me to shake off the shadow of doubt and of fear. In Jesus name, Amen,

“For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6 NIV

Be blessed to be a blessing.
