“I am singing the Lord’s praises because He treats me generously. He has granted me life and preserved it. He has promised deliverance, and I am expecting it. I am singing the Lord’s praises because He has been good to me. Psalm 13:6 (Personalized)
I’ve been contemplating on the song “I raise a hallelujah” by Bethel Music recently. Verse 2 says, “I raise a hallelujah with everything inside of me, I raise a hallelujah, I will watch the darkness flee. I raise a hallelujah in the middle of the mystery, I raise a hallelujah, fear, you lost your hold on me.” It reminded me of Psalm 103 where David lists all the things He’s thankful for. So, I thought I’d do the same. I’m encouraging you too to write out the Psalm of the Lord’s goodness towards you!
“I will bless the Holy name of God with all my heart. Yes, I will bless the Lord and not forget the glorious things He does for me.” Psalm 103:1, 2 (TLB).
Who woke me up this morning to see a brand-new day.
Who forgives my sins and calms my anxious spirit.
Who fills my heart with joy.
Who comforts me when I grieve the loss of the dearly departed.
Who loves me unconditionally.
Who sends me rainbow reminders that He keeps His promises and is bigger than any challenge I face!
Who provides for me and keeps me.
Who protects me as I sojourn each day.
Who extends His mercy and grace – I do not deserve it!
Who, even though my years on this earth will wither like the grass, still shows up each day to help me to go through it.
Who has all of heaven’s angels at the ready when I pray.
Who protects and keeps my friends and family.
Who deserves all the worship, all the glory and the honour for His great sacrifice.
Who gives me discernment, creativity and insight.
“He is like a Father to us, tender and sympathetic to those who reverence Him. For He knows we are but dust and that our days are few and brief, like grass, like flowers, blown by the wind and gone forever. But the loving-kindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting to those who reverence Him; His salvation is to children’s children of those who are faithful to His covenant and remember to obey Him! The Lord has made heavens His throne; from there He rules over everything there is. Bless the Lord, you mighty angels of His who carry out His orders, listening for each of His commands. Yes, bless the Lord, You armies of His angels who serve Him constantly. Let everything everywhere bless the Lord. And how I bless Him too!” Psalm 103:13 to 22 (TLB).
I am going to P.R.A.I.S.E!
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the lifeline of praise. Without it, life would be dreary and hopeless, but You have created us for worship; not worry. I can understand now why You constantly tell us not to worry, and not to be afraid. Help me to cast off my sackcloth of sorrow and throw on my garment of praise in my heart and from my lips. You are worthy to be praised! In Jesus name, Amen.
“Worship is a verb. Worship is an attitude expressed.” - Judson Cornwall
“Worship is the submission of all our nature to God. It is the quickening of conscience by His holiness; the nourishment of the mind with His truth; the purifying imagination by His beauty; the opening of the heart to His love; the surrender of will to His purpose – and all of this gathered up in adoration.” - William Temple
“Next to the Word of God, music deserves the highest praise.” - Anonymous
“I will give thanks to You, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonderful deeds.” Psalm 9:1
Be blessed to be a blessing.
