I Will Not Be Overwhelmed

I will not be overwhelmed- Illustration

Though I may stumble, I will not be overwhelmed. Though I am badly battered, God will not abandon me. He will hold my hand and protect me from disaster. Psalm 37:24 (Personalized)

'Fall down seven times, get up eight.' (Proverbs 24:16). Do you know that God is on this journey with you for the long haul? The amount of time that has passed proves that He is patient. The Bible tells us that ‘The Lord isn't slow about keeping His promises, as some people think he is. In fact, God is patient, because he wants everyone to turn from sin and no one to be lost.” 2 Peter 3:9

We also need to be patient with ourselves on this journey, despite what comes our way. When I look back on my journal entries and see how God has answered my prayers or taken me to new levels I am amazed.

There is even growth in my drawings. The lessons I experienced have truly blessed me and could not have had I not started. Another quote that stays with me is from Brianna Wiest who says “One day, the mountain that is in front of you will be so far behind you, it will barely be visible in the distance.

But the person you become in learning to get over it? That will stay with you forever. And that is the point of the mountain.” As you think back on your journey, I pray that you can trace how God is leading and directing you.

Lord, help me not to give up on You. Help me to stay the course. In those moments, when I'm feeling overwhelmed, help me to rest, not quit. Thank You for not abandoning me.

'You don't know what your abilities are until you make a full commitment to developing them.' Carol Dweck

Be blessed to be a blessing!
