I Trust Him to Provide

Updated: Mar 14, 2024

I am living in the moment; trusting God to provide. He takes care of the birds. He will take care of me.

Matthew 6: 26, 27 (Personalized)

Growth mindset – “a way of viewing challenges and setbacks.”

Give God a chance to show off! When God created this world; everything was prepared for man before He was created. He then rested with man on the seventh day, also known as the Sabbath.

The challenge for man has always been about striking the balance between dependence on God versus self. Whilst the Bible admonishes us to work – ‘Take a

lesson from the ants, you lazy fellow. Learn from their ways and be wise!’ (Proverbs 6:6 TLB); we’re also told not to worry. As Malik Willis puts it – “You pray like it’s up to God, work like it’s up to you.”

Worrying attacks faith and creates anxiety and fear. Worry can cause many sleepless nights and affects our bodies negatively.  Jesus reminds us not to worry. As our Creator, He has provided for all our needs and on every level (creation, salvation, redemption, eternal life).

There are so many instances where I’ve prayed for some thing or the other and God came through for me, even before the words could leave my heart completely. Too often we miss our lesson rushing our blessings.

My reminder to self is not to miss out living in the moment worrying about the future. I’m no longer afraid of the future because I know God is already there. I trust Him to provide. In so doing, I’m able to move forward with clarity, refreshed and re-energized.

Lord, help me to worship You especially when it feels like I am drowning in my worries. Give me childlike faith that I can trust in You to provide for my every need. Without You, I am nothing. Thank You for taking care of me. In Jesus Name, Amen.

“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” Matthew 6:34MSG
