“I received a spirit of freedom that makes me a full-fledged member of God’s family, who is under His protection and care. I can call Him with endearing, intimate confidence “Daddy, Daddy”. Romans 8:15 (Personalized)

Happy Father's Day!

Having recently lost one of my grandfathers, I contemplate the importance of having good fathers in the home. They offer a stability and calm that goes deeper than doing the menial tasks most shun or getting rid of unwanted guests, as in pests not people!

I love my dad. I cherish the time we get to spend together when we do. We both love to capture moments and have a love for music. Most people, including my siblings, would say I take after him the most. I have his eyes and I seem to have his laugh at times as well.

Fathers, cherish the young ones in your care. Build them up and show them love. Be mindful not to be harsh even in moments of discipline. Remember Your Heavenly Father also extends love and compassion to you too!

Life is made up of seasons and even though much focus is placed on providing for those in your care, remember to have fun sometimes. Those memories are what will get you through the tough times.

Just as I am confident of the love my earthly Father has for me, so am I of my Heavenly Father. He's been there for me in situations where I needed His protection and care.

“You are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” Psalm 32:7,8

Jesus revealed to us the love of the Father. He showed love and compassion and He gave us stories called parables to reveal these truths.

He tells us of the Father's love in the parable of the Prodigal's son. “But while he was still a long way off, His father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.” Luke 15:20

And He reminds us that He loves us too! “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.” John 15:9

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being my Abba, Father. We gained insight of Your love for humanity through Your Son, Jesus. He showed us that You are just and gracious and tender-hearted and committed to saving every one of us. Thank You for my father and father figures in my life. Bless those who care and provide even for children who are not their own. In Jesus name, Amen.

“Dad: A son’s first hero, a daughter’s first love.” John Walter Bratton

“A father’s prayers are the quiet force behind a family’s peace.” - Unknown

“The Lord Your God carried you, as a Father carries his son.” Deuteronomy 1:31

“And I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:18

Be blessed to be a blessing.
