He Lives In You

Defying The Odds - Illustration

“I have been crucified with Christ: and I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the real life I now have within this body is a result of my trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 TLB Personalized

God has always been about having a relationship with us.

Intentional. Purposeful. Meaningful. Lifechanging.

The One who came and bled and died on Calvary’s cross, who stayed in the grave for three days and rose again, stands at each of our heart’s door waiting to come in and sup with us. Many seek happiness and to fill the void that Christ already can complete. Some search for the kind of love which only He can provide. Others go without, journeying to far places and spaces, when He bids us to come and find Him within. Luke 17:20, 21 NKJV says, “Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

In the movie ‘The Lion King’, there was a moment where Simba is reminded by Rafiki that His father Mufasa lives in Him. In the water’s reflection, he sees him. Jesus came here on earth to remind us that God lives within us and that Heaven is for real! Just as Jesus reflected the Father, so are we to reflect Jesus. At the Last Supper, the last few moments Jesus had before His death, He told the disciples to let not their hearts be troubled. He was going to prepare places for them, and for us, and that He would come again, so that we could be with Him. (see Luke 14:1-4)

You see, God has always been about having a relationship with us.

Intentional. Purposeful. Meaningful. Lifechanging.

Paul reminds us in his sermon in Athens, that “in Him we live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17:28). We are not placed here on earth, to cycle moments from the past. God has a purpose for us even in our generation. There is meaning for your life. God already knows the plan. As your relationship grows and moves in alignment, there we find our purpose. He lives in you.

“No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us. If we love each other, God’s love has reached its goal—it is made perfect in us. We know that we live in God and God lives in us. We know this because he gave us his Spirit. We have seen that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world, and this is what we tell people now.” – 1 John 4:12, 13 ERV

“I ask the Father with His great glory to give you the power to be strong in your spirits. He will give you that strength through his Spirit. I pray that Christ will live in your hearts because of your faith. I pray that your life will be strong in love and be built on love. And I pray that you and all God’s holy people will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ’s love—how wide, how long, how high, and how deep that love is.”

Where were you when you fell in love with Jesus?

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You Lord for making sure all costs were counted to ensure our salvation. You spared no expense. You spared not even Your only Begotten Son Jesus. He walked this earth, He ministered, He showed us love, mercy, grace and compassion. He showed us how to live. He made manifest the love of the Father to the Son to the whole world. He told us the Kingdom of God is within us, and greater are You within us than he who is in the world. Help us to draw near to You. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.

“The Lord is my constant guide – He is my calm in chaos.”

“You don’t have to walk through this world alone, because the Spirit of God dwells within you!”

‘And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” Romans 8:10, 11 NLT

“Christ is my hope and strength – He fills me with purpose.”

“Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27 NIV
