I am encouraged and comforted because Jesus has the power and authority to open doors to shelter me and close doors to shield me. Revelation 3:7 (Personalized)
‘God’s timing teaches you to trust.’
A smile lingers whenever I ponder on this quote. I have seen God open and close doors in my life. I’m learning to respond more and to react less. Why? He holds the keys. I’m learning to be resilient and not to give up hope. Why? He holds the keys. There is nothing that can catch God unawares.
The last few years I have put trust and timing to the test, and He has not disappointed me. The waiting room is crucial and can be brutal but as you move through each level, you slowly begin to comprehend why. In His wisdom, He knows He must unpack things slowly for us to grasp the height and depth of His power and authority. Faith meets trust.
So, I challenged myself to wait on God.
First question I asked was, “Am I preparing in faith for what I’m praying?” I soon realized the issue wasn’t in the waiting but in the preparation. Do I try to go before God? I became intentional on hearing that still, small voice and not moving until I received the go ahead. Then I saw how God placed me in positions and paths that I would not have otherwise been on. That’s the power of God!
My encouragement to you is to trust in God’s timing. Make your petition before Him, journal from the start and watch God transform you on this journey. Put Your hand in His hand and let Him lead. Afterall, He holds the keys.
“I may sneer and sigh in disbelief. I may laugh with mingled doubt and delight. My abilities may be gone. The delay may seem long. Even: if it seems incredible or impossible, God’s power can accomplish it.” Genesis 18:13,14 (Personalized)
There’s only one power in the world great enough to help us rise above the difficult things we face: the power of God. - Stormie Omartian
We must make a great difference between God's Word and the word of man. A man's word is a little sound, that flies into the air, and soon vanishes; but the Word of God is greater than heaven and earth, yea, greater than death and hell, for it forms part of the power of God, and endures everlastingly. - Martin Luther
With the goodness of God to desire our highest welfare, the wisdom of God to plan it, and the power of God to achieve it, what do we lack? Surely we are the most favored of all creatures. - Aiden Wilson Tozer
Dear Heavenly Father,
How grateful am I that You have all power and have given authority over to Jesus. Help me Lord to trust in Your timing and in Your plan for my life, Help me to stay away from the closed doors in my life and run through the open ones You have before me. Thank You for everything You do and are doing for me. In Jesus name, Amen.
The promises of God become the power of God when they are believed and acted upon.
