Have You Heard?

How don’t we know? Have we not been listening? Yes, the Lord existed from eternity. He formed the earth, and He sustains it. Our finite mind can never fully and adequately grasp His ways. He will not get tired or weary from protecting or providing for us. Isaiah 40:28 (Personalized)

I started to write this devotion from the ending first. Then I thought about how God knows the end from the beginning and how everything is woven in His grand design. He knows the end – He wants to be with us; us to be with Him. He knew the great sacrifice it would take – Jesus dying on the cross for our sins. He knew us in our mother’s wombs before we were even formed.

Many argue and question the validity and supremacy of God, even to His very existence.

Creation speaks to a Creator. I cannot fathom how the detailed workings of animals or nature just happened by chance. As you all may know by now, I absolutely love to see the rainbow in the sky. It is a beautiful fitting reminder and testimony of God’s presence, power and promises. I also love to look at the shapes and flow of the clouds and the vivid colours that each sunset brings as another day comes to an end.

Knowing that God is all-powerful and seeing how insignificant I am in His grand design; I am amazed that He still pays attention to detail with me. “He says He knows me intimately, because He made me. He knows my flaws and faults, yet He bought me. Yes, He loves me. I am confident because He calls me by name and says, “You are mine.” Isaiah 43:1 (Personalized)

I take comfort in knowing God sees me and what I go through day by day. He sees the end from the beginning and will make sure that everything works out my good and for His glory. Because of His grace and mercy, I can count the cost.

Have you heard? How don’t you know? I pray you experience God’s love and see His Hand in Your life for yourself not through the eyes of another. Even though our finite minds cannot grasp everything, it’s a beautiful feeling to know that He cares for me.

Dear Heavenly Father,

As the song proclaims – You are God alone from before time began, You are on Your throne, You are God alone. Thank You Lord, for being all powerful yet still caring about me. Even though to You my life moves as quickly as a flower to full bloom, You’ve taught me through Your Son Jesus that You care for the lilies. Thank You for taking care of me.
