“Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.”
1 Chronicles 29:11, NIV
“Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom.” Psalm 145:3, NIV
God has created each one of us with a purpose and for a purpose. Oftentimes, we get caught up in comparison, but if we would allow God to truly work within us, we would be able to find our place and forge the link needed for the next person.
What is our response to God’s greatness? We should humble ourselves and worship the One who made us. We should trust in His plan that He has set out for us. We should sit at His feet and learn from Him, loving those whom He loved and died for. God’s greatness can be seen in His Creation and in His compassion. His love for us is seen in all that He does.
“God is bigger than time, dates, and appointments. He wants you to move through this day with a quiet heart, an inward assurance that He is in control, a peaceful certainty that your life is in His hands, a deep trust in His plan and purposes, and a thankful disposition toward all that He allows.
He wants you to put your faith in Him, not in a timetable. He wants you to wait on Him and wait for Him. In His perfect way He will put everything together, see to every detail...arrange every circumstance...and order every step to bring to pass what He has for you.” – Roy Lessin
“Your playing small does not serve the world...We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us.” – Marianne Williamson
“God is looking for those with whom He can do the impossible – what a pity that we plan only the things that we can do by ourselves.” – Aiden W. Tozer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your greatness. So vast and wide, our finite minds could never comprehend it all. You remind us that we are like the flowers, and we whither like the grass, but You love us and consider us. Your greatness is found in Your creation of visible and invisible things. Who can do what You’ve done! You make the impossible, possible. Thank You. In Jesus name, Amen.
“Use me, God. Show me how to take who I am, who I want to be, and what I can do, and use it for a purpose greater than myself.” Martin Luther King, Jr.
“You were created on purpose, for a purpose. Don’t let doubt silence the voice God gave you!”
“God has placed greatness inside you.”
“God has called you to greatness. He has not called you to mediocrity.”
“Praise Him for His acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness.” Psalm 150:2, NIV
Be blessed to be a blessing.
