But God But Grace

I embrace my frailty and fragility because His power is more evident where I am weak. It’s about His greatness not my strength. God’s grace is all I need. 2 Corinthians 12:9 (Personalized)

It’s taken me a long time to grasp the concept of God’s grace and I believe; this will be a lifelong lesson for me. I found that it’s easy to see grace as a far-reaching concept when we are prone to carry a cloak of self-righteousness.

We may even tend to think that in our own strength we overcome or are not prone to ‘fall’ as ‘others’ do. But God! But Grace! Grace extends her hand to the fallen and to the forgotten and whispers “I won’t leave you behind”. Grace steps down and writes in the sand to your accusers; it searches for you no matter where you go.

Grace calls you home. Sin causes us to run from God, but grace compels us to run to God. It seeks to restore the joy of salvation. As the Prodigal’s Son, the Samaritan woman, or the woman in Luke 7, we can embrace our frailty and accept the love of the Father given to us through His Son Jesus as we are prompted by the Holy Spirit.

John the Beloved reminds us of this when He said “My little children, I am telling you this so that you will stay away from sin. But if you sin, there is someone to plead for you before the Father. His name is Jesus Christ, the one who is all that is good and who pleases God completely.” 1 John 2:1 TLB

Lord, thank You for seeing my frailty and not holding it against me. I accept Your grace offered to me and believe that I can do all things through You because of Your mercy and faithfulness. Help me to draw others to You and not cast them away or leave them behind. In Jesus Name, Amen.

“Whoever comes to Me I will never cast out. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him should have eternal life.” John 6:37,40
